Useful Tips

• Before enrolling, visit the school with your child to see his / her classroom and meet the teacher. Make arrangements to visit at least three nurseries before making any decisions.
• Explain to your child that it is common for all kids to be nervous on the first day of school.
• Ask your child about his / her excitement or any concerns about starting the school.
• Reassure your child that if any problems arise at school, there will be a team to look after, and if needed you are just a call away.
• Make your child aware about what their schedule will be like. Inform your child about starting and the end of the school timings each day.
• Do research on after-school activities in the surrounding area that your child can join after the school.
• It will be fun for your child to make new friends. Explain the positive aspects of starting school to your child.
• Before the commencement of the school, try to do research on the other children who will be your child’s classmates so she / he will already have a company on the first day of school.
